Unable to get into my hotmail account is there live help or 800 number?
good luck, I have been waiting over 2 months on an answer on how to switch back to the original hot-mail. I have just switch to yahoo mail because when there is a holiday and so many people are using the internet your emails don't go through and when they do it goes through about 8 to 10 times.
But I never have that problem with yahoo mail. hotmail is going to the dogs.!!!
Go to supportmsn.com and click on msn hotmail and click change password. This should help they don't have a 800 number only 866 for cancelling ur account.

probably just because it is mc afee.... get rid of it...it's not that great... i use avast from alwil and have never had a problem in 5 years of computing...not even a spyware and i can access all programs and download whatever i like// if it is dodgy it just wont let it in

There is a couple of things that is needed to be able to receive e-mails from Windows Live Hotmail and they are very important and fundamental.
First of all, you need friends, it will work with aquaintanceces too. If you do have any or both then we can go on to the next thing that is needed.
Some or at least one of these friends or aquaintanceces need to have a Windows Live Hotmail account. If you still can say "Aye aye Captain, I know at least one" then we can go on to the next step.
This friend/s or/and aquaintanceces have to feel that they want to send you an e-mail from their Windows Live Hotmail too. But now comes the tricky part, open up your eyes as wide as u can because I will only type this once...
The person or persons that will send you an e-mail from their Windows Live Hotmail needs to know your e-mail address. And remember, no misspellings or so, e-mail servers are not as smart as the mailman, the mailman can sometimes figure out that you meant Piedmont Road but spelled it Pidmont Rd. An e-mail server would just return the e-mail to you and say "There is no such address".
Hence the expression "Going Postal". Someone has been trying to send you an e-mail and only get the same reply over and over again, "no such address". That's when the person becomes furious and screams "I'M GOING POSTAL! Please give me a paper, envelope and a stamp darling."
But if you have given the person the correct address and all the other parts also falls in place, then there will be some magic created, you will receive an e-mail from Windows Live Hotmail.

I also like the themes that Gmail give to you to use. It is a small thing, but, since I have my email open most of the day, I like the option of having mountains or planets there.
Having said all of that, I also have an MSN Live account so that I can access and post to the Microsoft website forums when I have questions about Vista or MS Office apps. (Having either a Hotmail or Live account allows you to be automatically alerted to replies to your posts.) But, that is about all I use the MSN account for. My friend sent me an email, so I clicked reply, and the text area won't let me type anything into it. You know when the buttons on a screen fade to slightly transparent if you can't click on them? Well that's what all the Bold and Font size buttons are doing, and there isn't a text box for me to type in. Suggestions?

I just decided to use Outlook 2003 instead of the web mail which happens to be Windows Live Hotmail. I downloaded the Outlook 2003 Connecter progam, and typed in my email and password, and after that, nothing happened - it just created the my email folder, and the Server Status says 'Connecting' for all three options: Mail, Calendar, Contact. HELP! What do i do???????

Just go to the Close Your Account page and it will have a button to close your account. It takes a number of days for it to go through, though. Here's the link to the page:

Forcing us to now except their lousy setup? It totally stinks !!! Why have they taken away the "Return to Classic"?? And these awful "themes", YUCK!!! !!! Who have they got in charge of this anyway? An Idiot??? It seems so. I encourage as many hotmail classic users to make as many complaints to hotmail themselves A.S.A.P. to demand that our CLASSIC we love be put BACK WHERE IT BELONGS !! It's really invasive to say the least, I felt and feel no different than if someone were to come into my house and had suddenly changed my furniture around to suit their tastes, disregarding the fact that is is MY HOUSE !!!

The International building code is usually acceptable by all municipalities. Footings are to be dug 16"x16"x 10" deep. There are to be 8" of concrete in the bottom of the hole and the post is to be set on the footing and 2" around the post. The support posts are to be 6x6's and The outside frame is to be one size larger than the joist size. a 2x8 will span 12'8" and a 2x10 will span 16'8". Posts should be spaced no more than 10' apart and handrail posts a maximum of 8' apart.(If the support posts are going all the way through rather than the deck built with a girder for support, I space the posts no more than 8' apart) Spindles have to be spaced so that a 4" sphere cannot pass through between them. Stairs may not have more than a 7 3/4" rise and the tread cut is to be a minimum of 10". I hope this helps

I have two windows live hotmail accounts. One works perfectly fine, the other one has been acting wierd for two weeks: I sign in, and I can see that I have new mail, etc, BUT, whatever I click on AFTER signing in, I get a page comming up saying "Page cannot be displayed." So, I cant read my mail. I wrote to hotmail, and they told me to update my browser, delete cookies, etc etc, I did everything they told me and still have the same problem. I havent changed anyhting in my account, except for upgrading from regular hotmail to live, and my other account works perfectly so I cant figure out whats wrong with this one,and furthermore it has been upgraded for a while, so that cant be the problem... and I need this account for school. If anyone has had this problem please help, I would really appreciate it!

When your signing up for your new email you should be able to select either hotmail.co.uk or live.co.uk

I have Gmail as my main provider, but sometimes I need a secondary account without closing my Gmail and opening a backup Gmail account. Live Mail is infuriating! First I tried the "new" version and it was so slow, even with my broadband connection, I switched to "Classic" version. Now it still takes forever to open a message...and if I try to back up to a previous page it just freezes altogether and won't go anywhere.

For the past TWO days I haven't been able to open any emails from my friends. But if its a notice saying I got best answer on Y!A or its spam or something I can open it! But nothing from my friends! I get the error message Sorry we cannot open this message at this time.
I've tried logging on, on different computers. I tried restarting. I even reported the problem to Windows Live like 6 times.

When I log into the page it says it is unavailable. It is something the site did though. Can you tell me if you get this too? www.hotmail.com . Just to make sure. Also, if whatever it is, how can I get to my windows live mail? I doubt they would just have everyones deleted if they were trying to get to there mail. Why does my mobile not get windows live hotmail,?
if its a free hotmail account, your mobile will not access it. You must purchase the upgraded Hotmail for it to work. Yahoo will work without an upgrade tho. I know this b/c I had the same problem with my Blackberry on the AT%26amp;T network.

I want the images to appear in the body of my message, not just as an attachment. On the old hotmail I had to turn on rich-text to paste images, but there is no option for this on windows live hotmail.. CTL-C and CTL-V doesn't work either.. is there a setting I am missing? For windows live hotmail, you do not need to turn on the rich text editor as the default had already set to it. To copy a image, you may just highlight on the image, click on ctrl+c and then go back to the windows live hotmail message, click on ctrl+v. are you talking about on the messenger itself? if that is the case, look into using trillian or pidgin. both support multiple protocols, so you can talk to people on other chat systems (i.e. AIM, Yahoo...etc.)

Ok on my Laptop it takes almost 5 Minuites to sign in to windows live messenger and does not load up hotmail at all where as on my family PC it works fine.
i have ran virus and spyware scans using AVG 8.0 and Others but nothing has been found. Any ideas ?

Usually when the password thing comes up there are 2 or 3 boxes and one of them says "Save my email address and password" or something along those lines and you type in the email address and password and just before you click sign in or whatever it is tick the box "Save my email address and password" and click sign in and it should from that point on stop asking for your email address and password!

Can I send and receive (hotmail) e-mails in Mail without going onto the internet to the hotmail site? - I will still use the online hotmail, when I'm away from my computer.
One on my friends suggested using Gmail, but there's too much hassle changing everything over. (all my internet shopping accounts, all the forums account, all my contacts I have stored). Plus I want to keep using Adium (all my friends have hotmail and MSN on Windows, but iChat doesn't work).
So I don't want Gmail for sending them all e-mails while still using hotmail to chat... I'd rather they'd all be under the one account (hotmail).

If you're meaning Windows Live Mail (it is a totally different thing from hotmail, and there is no such thing called "hotmail live"), then here's the solution.
You must not be using the basic view of Windows Live Mail, so when the webpage is loading don't click the link to view in a basic view.
Once the page has fully loaded click "Inbox" %26gt; Right-click the email that you want to view the headers of %26gt; down the bottom of the options select "View source".
A new tab or window will open displaying a basic text view of the email including the headers.

Ok it runs but when I hit reply to an email its too dumb to put the sender's address back in the To: field and the address list down the right hand side of the page does not scroll at all like it is designed to. Should I give MS a little more time to straighten this out or is this as good as it gets?

Reply:they are codes, maybe html and i guess you are not on windows because are at work or other op system pc and this is why you can not see the command, only the codes

It's all great except that it's so slow..

Also is it possible to view Chinese Characters on my phone by installing some sort of language software?

No I don't think you can, Your just going to have to do it the old way by just logging out and back in to your other email. I know it sucks...but hopefully some one will find a way =) I have also listed a web page that may help you.

Windows live mail/hotmail doesn't work - freezes?
Whenever I try to open my hotmail, the page works for maybe 20 seconds before freezing - links appear to be clickable etc but of course nothing happens when they are clicked and I have to use task manager to shut down internet explorer. I'm using Vista home premium 32 bit - any suggestions?

Try running your antivirus program first. Then double check your in and out email programs to be sure they are the correct ones. if they aren't, that could be the cause.
