How do you delete your windows live messenger accout with a provider other than hotmail?

Permanently remove your Windows Live ID





Important





Before you remove your credentials (Unique information that you use to access restricted resources. Windows Live ID credentials include your e-mail address and password. They may also include a mobile phone number and PIN, a smart card, or a security key.) , sign in to any Windows Live ID site or service that you've shared personal information with, and delete that information. When you close your account, personal information is not automatically deleted, and you no longer have access to it.








To close your Windows Live ID:





1. Sign in to Account Services.

2. Click Customer Support, and then click Close your account.


3. Click Continue.


4. Read the information provided on the page that follows and follow the instructions.

When you permanently remove your Windows Live ID associated with an MSN Hotmail account, you can't reuse your sign-in name for 30 days. After 30 days, anyone can reuse the name. Limited accounts (An account that allows you to sign in to some Windows Live ID sites or services, without requiring you to provide a valid e-mail address or account information.) , and accounts opened with e-mail addresses other than Hotmail can have their sign-in names reused immediately.
