When making an email on msn what is the difference between hotmail.com and live.com? What one is better?

Or do you know of any other email sties? Just so i can have more options and check diff out

You should think about what else you might want to do besides email.


Are you going to do online messaging or other things?





I have a Gmail account that I use for work. I have found the Chat inside the email to be a lot better than other chats - MSN and Yahoo! It is just more reliable and faster. (I use a WiFi connection.) There is also a record of your chat sessions automatically saved (if you choose that option), which allows me to go back and review conversations I've had.





I also like the way Gmail lets you organize your emails. It uses something called "Labels" instead of folders. This allows you to classify emails in multiple categories.





A Gmail account also gives you access to their online apps - like a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation software, etc.





I also like the themes that Gmail give to you to use. It is a small thing, but, since I have my email open most of the day, I like the option of having mountains or planets there.





Having said all of that, I also have an MSN Live account so that I can access and post to the Microsoft website forums when I have questions about Vista or MS Office apps. (Having either a Hotmail or Live account allows you to be automatically alerted to replies to your posts.) But, that is about all I use the MSN account for. It is not bad or anything, but I just use my other email accounts for different reasons.





I have had both Hotmail and LIve accounts. I have not seen any differences except for some minor information that you set up when signing up for an account. Yahoo has something similar. You can choose "@rocketmail.com" instead of "@Yahoo.com" as the email address suffix when you sign up.





And, since I am using Yahoo! Answers, you know that I also have a Yahoo! email account. I have had it a long time and my friends use it to talk to me.





Having used these three email accounts, I like Gmail the best. The interface is the best, in my opinion. I use the old Yahoo! email because I think the new one is too slow and is too cluttered. (Sorry, Yahoo! I have sent this as feedback more than once.)
Reply:I reckon live.com is better because you can have a more of a chance having the email name you want then hotmail because hotmail has been around for a while and you have less chance to have a email address as you wanted for example:








mini_monstaa@live.com (has a better chance of having availability)





mini_monstaa@hotmail.com(Sorry Not available!! Lol)

Reply:i think hotmail is the best and i think the diffrence is that you can use hotmail for msn messenger and email .. no matter the diffrence i personally like hotmail the best
Reply:Gmail is one choice. You have plenty of storage space .
