I have just switched over to Windows Live Hotmail. ON my old MSN hotmail, i could control how many emails per page it showed. I can't seem to find how to do that on Windows Live Hotmail. Does anybody know how??

Msn hotmail had some really nice features which WLM doesnt provide. Try checking your mail preferences again there might be a tweak for that or revert back to Msn hotmail if you can . Dont you miss the old interface? =)

Well I want to try out the new Windows Live Hotmail, but when I cllick Update, I get this:

Reply:If it is in your junk folder, move it to your inbox. That can help.
They have changed the format of Hotmail and it's more confusing now. I have filters set to send most unknown stuff to the junk mail folder, so whenever I have a problem I just move the mail to the inbox and it seems to work.
Also, if you have javascript blocked, enable it.

Win Live Hotmail: I have a document saved as a Draft file, size is 65K. Having trouble copying it to send.?
To make a copy to send, I try "CNTL C" to copy, then "CNTL V" to paste, then send it as a NEW email. When received as an email, it is mixed up--the middle of the document shows up first, and the first part shows up last???

Why don't you save the file and then send it as a attachment. Go to http://mail.live.com then start a new message. On the mail option bar choose attach %26gt; file. Find the file attach it and send.

How do I block hotmail Spam with the domain live.com?
I keep getting spam in my hotmail. The sender is just random peoples names. And the subject is always usually "Hi". Sometimes they are a little more vulgar. I know how to block senders and domains. But hotmail will not let me block the domain live.com. How can I stop them from sending stuff to my email? And why will hotmail not let me block that. Yahoo Pop will cost you the premium subscription, no way around it. I'm not sure about the MSN, but the google is free.
There are several good walkthroughs on the google help page to take you through the exact instructions. But basically you turn the feature on in your gmail settings, then create an account in outlook. The instructions that i see are for 2003, but 2007 will be very similar. Although I have heard of stability issues with outlook 2007 pulling from gmail pop3 servers.

You can block her by putting her on your "Blocked senders" list

A list should spawn and click on "More options..."

when I go to www.hotmail.com on my PS3 I sign in to my email, then press sign in. It then tells me: Error you need to allow cookies. I then close the internet and restart the browser. Where did all my old hotmail emails go after joining the new windows live hotmail???
All of your emails at your original hotmail account are still in that account. If you created a new account in Live Hotmail, it is just that, a new account and not associated with your original one.
If you haven't created a new account and your emails have disappeared, then I suspect you may not have used your account often enough and everything was deleted by Microsoft.

I find MSN Messenger and Hotmail Live annoyingly user unfriendly but they keep advertising and trying to promote it to you more. I have tried the Hotmail Live and switched back to the older version which I like very much and will never change back to live.What are your experiences?

How do I restore back to how hotmail used to be. I am using the "classic version of Windows Live Hotmail." When I got to options, I don't see "Switch to MSN Hotmail.”

good luck, I have been waiting over 2 months on an answer on how to switch back to the original hot-mail. I have just switch to yahoo mail because when there is a holiday and so many people are using the internet your emails don't go through and when they do it goes through about 8 to 10 times.
But I never have that problem with yahoo mail. hotmail is going to the dogs.!!!

There is a couple of things that is needed to be able to receive e-mails from Windows Live Hotmail and they are very important and fundamental.
First of all, you need friends, it will work with aquaintanceces too. If you do have any or both then we can go on to the next thing that is needed.
Some or at least one of these friends or aquaintanceces need to have a Windows Live Hotmail account. If you still can say "Aye aye Captain, I know at least one" then we can go on to the next step.
This friend/s or/and aquaintanceces have to feel that they want to send you an e-mail from their Windows Live Hotmail too. But now comes the tricky part, open up your eyes as wide as u can because I will only type this once...
The person or persons that will send you an e-mail from their Windows Live Hotmail needs to know your e-mail address. And remember, no misspellings or so, e-mail servers are not as smart as the mailman, the mailman can sometimes figure out that you meant Piedmont Road but spelled it Pidmont Rd. An e-mail server would just return the e-mail to you and say "There is no such address".
Hence the expression "Going Postal". Someone has been trying to send you an e-mail and only get the same reply over and over again, "no such address". That's when the person becomes furious and screams "I'M GOING POSTAL! Please give me a paper, envelope and a stamp darling."

There is also a record of your chat sessions automatically saved (if you choose that option), which allows me to go back and review conversations I've had.
I also like the way Gmail lets you organize your emails. It uses something called "Labels" instead of folders. This allows you to classify emails in multiple categories.
A Gmail account also gives you access to their online apps - like a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation software, etc.
I also like the themes that Gmail give to you to use. It is a small thing, but, since I have my email open most of the day, I like the option of having mountains or planets there.
Having said all of that, I also have an MSN Live account so that I can access and post to the Microsoft website forums when I have questions about Vista or MS Office apps. (Having either a Hotmail or Live account allows you to be automatically alerted to replies to your posts.) But, that is about all I use the MSN account for. It is not bad or anything, but I just use my other email accounts for different reasons.
I have had both Hotmail and LIve accounts. I have not seen any differences except for some minor information that you set up when signing up for an account. Yahoo has something similar. You can choose "@rocketmail.com" instead of "@Yahoo.com" as the email address suffix when you sign up.
And, since I am using Yahoo! Answers, you know that I also have a Yahoo! email account. I have had it a long time and my friends use it to talk to me.
Having used these three email accounts, I like Gmail the best. The interface is the best, in my opinion. I use the old Yahoo! email because I think the new one is too slow and is too cluttered. (Sorry, Yahoo! I have sent this as feedback more than once.)

I have had both Hotmail and LIve accounts. I have not seen any differences except for some minor information that you set up when signing up for an account. Yahoo has something similar. You can choose "@rocketmail.com" instead of "@Yahoo.com" as the email address suffix when you sign up.
And, since I am using Yahoo! Answers, you know that I also have a Yahoo! email account. I have had it a long time and my friends use it to talk to me.
Having used these three email accounts, I like Gmail the best. The interface is the best, in my opinion. I use the old Yahoo! email because I think the new one is too slow and is too cluttered. (Sorry, Yahoo! I have sent this as feedback more than once.)

My friend sent me an email, so I clicked reply, and the text area won't let me type anything into it. You know when the buttons on a screen fade to slightly transparent if you can't click on them? Well that's what all the Bold and Font size buttons are doing, and there isn't a text box for me to type in. Suggestions?

I just decided to use Outlook 2003 instead of the web mail which happens to be Windows Live Hotmail. I downloaded the Outlook 2003 Connecter progam, and typed in my email and password, and after that, nothing happened - it just created the my email folder, and the Server Status says 'Connecting' for all three options: Mail, Calendar, Contact. Just go to the Close Your Account page and it will have a button to close your account. It takes a number of days for it to go through, though. Here's the link to the page:

The International building code is usually acceptable by all municipalities. Footings are to be dug 16"x16"x 10" deep. There are to be 8" of concrete in the bottom of the hole and the post is to be set on the footing and 2" around the post. The support posts are to be 6x6's and The outside frame is to be one size larger than the joist size. a 2x8 will span 12'8" and a 2x10 will span 16'8". Posts should be spaced no more than 10' apart and handrail posts a maximum of 8' apart.(If the support posts are going all the way through rather than the deck built with a girder for support, I space the posts no more than 8' apart) Spindles have to be spaced so that a 4" sphere cannot pass through between them. Stairs may not have more than a 7 3/4" rise and the tread cut is to be a minimum of 10". I hope this helps

I have two windows live hotmail accounts. One works perfectly fine, the other one has been acting wierd for two weeks: I sign in, and I can see that I have new mail, etc, BUT, whatever I click on AFTER signing in, I get a page comming up saying "Page cannot be displayed." So, I cant read my mail. I wrote to hotmail, and they told me to update my browser, delete cookies, etc etc, I did everything they told me and still have the same problem. I havent changed anyhting in my account, except for upgrading from regular hotmail to live, and my other account works perfectly so I cant figure out whats wrong with this one,and furthermore it has been upgraded for a while, so that cant be the problem... and I need this account for school. If anyone has had this problem please help, I would really appreciate it!

If I sign up to Hotmail, it give me ______@hotmail.co.uk. Is there any chance I can get ___________@live.co.uk.

When your signing up for your new email you should be able to select either hotmail.co.uk or live.co.uk
I'm sure that's what I did ages ago when I made a new account.

Does Hotmail / Live Mail or whatever the heck they call it now drive anyone else CRAZY?
I have Gmail as my main provider, but sometimes I need a secondary account without closing my Gmail and opening a backup Gmail account. Live Mail is infuriating! First I tried the "new" version and it was so slow, even with my broadband connection, I switched to "Classic" version. Now it still takes forever to open a message...and if I try to back up to a previous page it just freezes altogether and won't go anywhere.

For the past TWO days I haven't been able to open any emails from my friends. But if its a notice saying I got best answer on Y!A or its spam or something I can open it! But nothing from my friends! I get the error message Sorry we cannot open this message at this time.
I've tried logging on, on different computers. I tried restarting. I even reported the problem to Windows Live like 6 times.

Any help on fixing this issue would be appreciated.

When I log into the page it says it is unavailable. It is something the site did though. Can you tell me if you get this too? www.hotmail.com . Just to make sure. Also, if whatever it is, how can I get to my windows live mail? I doubt they would just have everyones deleted if they were trying to get to there mail. There must be an explanation because other people had this too I think.

if you mean the lay out, you're not the only one. It's a new beta vorm of Hotmail, which is worldwide. It's not completely done yet, like the new facebook it had to become an improve, instead it's really annoying..

Why does my mobile not get windows live hotmail,?
if its a free hotmail account, your mobile will not access it. You must purchase the upgraded Hotmail for it to work. Yahoo will work without an upgrade tho. I know this b/c I had the same problem with my Blackberry on the AT%26amp;T network.
