Error with Windows Live Hotmail [Unable to read/delete mail]?

Since yesterday, I've been trying to read and delete mail that are unread in my Windows Live Hotmail Inbox, however, when I click on the message, or click the Delete button, the server does not respond and so nothing comes out and the mail does not get deleted.

On the Status Bar of my Internet Explorer it says "javascript:;" and "Done, but with errors on page".

I was wondering if it's a server problem because most of my peers are able to delete and read their mail.

I've tried using Mozilla Firefox, but the same error occurs.

I'm also not able to access the Junk Mail, Drafts, Sent and Deleted folders.

Please assist me in this problem; all help is greatly appreciated. :)

Hi if u're from singapore u can solve it by following the instructions below:

Go to internet explorer, Internet options, Connections, Lan Settings, Check the Use a proxy server for your LAN box, and input the following information:

proxy.singnet.com.sg

port : 8080

For firefox users i am sure there is a way to work around it too...i have provided the link which will solve the prob below.

I tink if u're using safari, there's no solution to ur problem.Try signing in via https://mid.live.com/si/login.aspx?lc=10...
Reply:It is really having problem.

This is already the 3rd day.

I have no problem signing in.

But once I'm in, that's it.

You just can't do anything inside.

The bottom of the page is always showing "Done, but with errors on page" or "javascript" with the yellow and black exclamation sign.

By the way, I'm in Singapore.

Those having the same problem, where are you guys from?

Ya, I'm on Singnet.
Reply:Hi guys,

I think I found the solution to this problem.

If you are using Firefox, please disable AdBlock Plus (or any other ads blocking plugin) temporary for this particular session before you open mail.live.com.

If you are using IE7, please disable "Pop-up blocker".

After once you login, you should be able to surf as per normal.

It seems that Hotmail don't like people to block their inner ads.
Reply:Hey I think it's been affecting most people from Singapore!

Ok, if you really need to view your e-mails,

you can sign in from here..

It's not the best option, but you can still read email %26amp; reply etc..
Reply:Hey you can try this:

Go to IE--%26gt;Tools--%26gt;Internet Options--%26gt;Connections tab--%26gt; LAN Settings--%26gt; tick the Use proxy server...--%26gt; address: proxy.singnet.com.sg port:8080--%26gt; press Ok and restart IE
