Windows live hotmail saftey?

hey

my mum just got an ipod for her birthday and i got one before her. I downloaded itunes on her computer and now she has an ipod i had to download it on mine. Her computer has all my music on so she tried to send it to me via hotmail..the message says.. The message is ready to be sent with the following file or link attachments:

Shortcut to: C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music

Note: To protect against computer viruses, e-mail programs may prevent sending or receiving certain types of file attachments. Check your e-mail security settings to determine how attachments are handled. so how do i get my music and do i have to change the saftey settings and if so how?

i cant get the attachment coz it says..Windows Live Hotmail has blocked some attachments in this message because they appear to be unsafe.

so what do i do i know its safe i just want my music.

Reply:Email programs aren't really designed to transfer music !

The safest way is to use a USB stick OR rewritable DVD disk !

Don't forget though - copying music without the owners permission is ILLEGAL
Reply:Use msn to transfer the files when your online to your mum.

However one or more of those files has a virus or other in it so have you mum scan her pc first.
